Volunteering…

I’m always one to advocate volunteering to help with stuff, which is why, over the coming months, I will be helping out at Robin Hood Airport.

What I have offered to help out with, is an aircraft. Something for which, the heyday was over before I was born, and something, which, I can remember watching at airshows over the years.

Its one of only 4 aircraft that I have seen in my time that I can, hand on heart say, have made me cry. Something, which, in design, is older than both my parents, but at the same time, stirs something in the heart, and within the bodies primordial soul that makes me smile every time.

I won’t be doing the ‘guided tours’ to start with, but, I will be helping out in the shop, and in other areas.

Some of you will already have guessed which aircraft I am on about.

For those of you that haven’t, I leave you with this.

Back into the swing??

So..

Its come round to that time of year again, the start of the Rugby Union season. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I am not at Doncaster Knights this season (nor do I see myself being so in the forseeable future). So, I’ve decided to go back to the Rugby club where I started my playing career, and that is Thornensians.

They play a good 6 divisions or so below the Knights, but I felt that towards the end of last season, I didn’t really enjoy shooting there, so I’m taking a couple of steps back, hopefully to get a foothold going forward.

I’ll post a few photos every now and then.
